Founded by a former ER and Critical Care Transport RN, Shane Parker, and his son, Gavin, a graduate from The Citadel in Charleston, SC, who’s now an Infantry Officer in the NC National Guard, our dealership is built on the same values that guided us in healthcare and service: integrity, dedication, and care for our community.

THE TEAM

SHANE PARKER

While working as an ER nurse, Shane founded, designed, and developed ShiftWizard, a web-based staff scheduling and analytics company for healthcare organizations. Shane was instrumental in raising Venture Capital for ShiftWizard, which was later acquired by HealthStream, a publicly traded healthcare software company.After his short retirement, Shane sought to start another business and realized that he had a passion for automobiles, which is how Motors America transformed from a vision to a family-owned car dealership.Shane is an experienced, accomplished, self-driven entrepreneur with 15+ years of a proven track record in capital healthcare sales, business growth, leadership, and operational experience. Shane holds strengths in strategic sales, business development, revenue growth, and account management that have resulted in quantifiable growth and high profit margins. In their extra time, the Parker’s devote their efforts and time to help St. Jude raise money for the patients and their families. As the Chairperson of Sponsorship and Fundraising for St. Jude of the Carolinas, Shane and the team of other volunteers have raised nearly $5M at 4 annual, one-night events in Charlotte, NC. The 2022 the Celebrity Chef and Wine Dinner was honored as the “National Event of the Year” for St. Jude by ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and in 2025, the Celebrity Chef and Wine Dinner raised over $1.5M in a single night!

GAVIN PARKER

Gavin graduated from The Citadel in Charleston, SC, in May of 2020 where he majored in Finance. While attending The Citadel, Gavin served as an Infantryman in the SC National Guard.

After graduating, Gavin joined the NC National Guard as an Infantry Officer and has subsequently served as an Executive Infantry Officer and continues to serve to this day as an Officer.

Additionally, Gavin worked for Fidelity Investments for over a year in their Workplace Planning department. While working at Fidelity, Gavin determined that entrepreneurship was his passion and joined his father, Shane, in opening and operating Motors America.

JESSICA PARKER

Jessica worked as a registered nurse for nearly 25 years, working in many different specialties such as labor and delivery, cardiology, post-anesthesia, and invasive radiology. Jessica retired from nursing in 2020 and now serves as the Title Officer here at Motors America.
